Kathryn Olsen

Kathryn Olsen, MSPT joined the Proliance Sports Therapy of Issaquah team in April of 2004. She grew up in central Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse PT program, receiving her MSPT degree in 1998. Since then, Kathryn has been providing outpatient orthopedic care in the greater Seattle area. While attending a continuing education course on lower back pain and dysfunction, she discovered the significance of teaching patients how to recruit the deep abdominal and back extensor muscles as a strategy for breaking the cycle of chronic lower back pain. Following this with Stott Pilates training further enhanced her ability to share mind/body awareness with patients as a crucial part of complete recovery after any injury. Kathryn plans to focus on continuing to build her manual therapy techniques through coursework in the immediate future. To stay active when not working, Kathryn participates in running, volleyball, hiking, and downhill skiing. She is also a Green Bay Packer enthusiast.
